Step 1. Click on the Arduino.cc button, this should open the Arduino official website in a new tab.

Step 2. Click on the download file for your operating system.

Step 3. Click on "JUST DOWNLOAD", if you don't intend to donate to Arduino.

Step 4. Click on "JUST DOWNLOAD" again, you don't need to subscribe to use the Arduino IDE.

Step 5. Once the download is complete, open the exe file.

Step 6. Click agree to continue.

Step 7. Select who will be using the software. For most installs select the default "all users".

Step 8. Agree to the 'license agreement' to use the software.

Step 9. Select the install location, use the default location for most installs.

Step 10. The Arduino IDE should open automatically. The last step is to change your theme to dark mode. Go to FILE, then PREFERENCES, then THEME, and select DARK MODE.
